Words of Invitation
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble…He says:
Be still and know that I am God.
(Ps. 46:1, 10a)
Make your ways known upon earth, Lord God, your saving power among all peoples. Renew your Church in holiness and help us to serve you with joy. Guide the leaders of all nations that justice may prevail throughout the world. Let not the needy be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor be taken away. Make us instruments of your peace and let you glory be over all the earth. Amen

Prayer of Confession
Almighty and merciful God, we want to be where you are, we need you to be our hope and stay, we know that we cannot stand without you. And yet we wander. So, we fall on you and confess those places where we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus, have mercy on us and forgive us, that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.
