Old Testament Anticipations of the Cross of Christ
During this 5 week study, we will walk chronologically through different sections of the Old Testament narrative, pausing to notice how the cross of Christ is anticipated in the stories of Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, the Israelites, Ruth, David, Daniel, and more. We also will learn that the cross was never "plan B" in the mind of God, but it is the centerpiece of God's gracious and eternal will to reveal his heart and bring salvation to his people and the world. If we wish to see God's heart, we are called to fix our eyes upon the Son of God who willingly took human form so that he might be lifted up on a cross.
